RH - Inspiration for our coursework idea from other films

When planning our production we looked through many different films to help us pull together ideas for our film. It gave us an idea of what sort of shots, sounds and mise-en-scene directors use when making a films of this genre.

There were three films that we believe to have help us the most:

1. Drag Me to Hell
Director: Sam Raimi
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1127180/
We used the scene from this film of the female (left) being dragged out a car. In our production we plan to also use this idea so when watching this film it gave us a lot of good ideas. We will use a lot of cut shots and rarely show the protagonist face.

2. Halloween
Director: Rob Zombie
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0373883/
In our production we plan to have the protagonist wearing a mask.
We used the idea of this mask when it came to designing ours,
we plan to only show the eyes on ours.

3. Cherry Falls
Director: Geoffery Wright
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0175526/
We also used the car scene from this film to help us. We have gathered
many ideas of how to 'drag' or scream queen from the car and plan to
practice all our different ideas before filming out final piece.
